All clothing unless new with tags are washed by hand or on delicate in organic soap. Most, even if they say tumble dry low, are hung out to dry. There is no fabric softener used. Items that are dried on low are tumbled with dryer balls that have had essential oils added. Most of the time the essential oil used is lemongrass.
Clothes are steamed if needed. Then tagged, bagged and stored in cedar closets.
Hibiscus Hippie Boutique is a room in itself in my home. There is no smoking or pets in the home. Essential oils are diffused from time to time.
We do have two bunnies. Willow and Chloe. They are definitely our spoiled babies. They have both a huge run with houses in our garage and in our yard as well.
All clothes are gone over as they say, "with a fine-tooth comb", several times. If you should ever find anything wrong, that somehow was missed, please send us a message.
Abbreviations are given to pre-loved clothing to quickly describe the item's wear level. The following abbreviations are used at the Hibiscus Hippie Boutique.
- NWT - New With Tags
- NWOT - New Without Tags
- NWB - New With Box
- NWOB-New Without Box
- EUC - Excellent Used Condition
- VGUC - Very Good Used Condition
- GUC - Good Used Condition
Thank you...
To my family & friends for all of their support during this somewhat long process of me starting my own business & it taking over my life this last year.
My grown children, family & friends who supported me by even the simplest things like following my newly developed social media pages, I know who you are ;)
To Jenn, Jacee, Darlene, Erin and Debbie - I so appreciate all of you. Whether you offered to model, offered to help measure clothes, gave me some ideas, or just listened to my dream, thank you for not doubting me, but encouraging me instead. Debbie's last visit here from Nashville, and the hours of talking about this as we watched the cruise ships go by, literally put me in overdrive. I absorbed everything she said and was so fired up I purchased my website and got down to business.
Last but not least to my husband, who ungrudgingly has taken me for marketplace pickups for clothing racks and other needed business supplies, built me a huge closet, a table for packaging, a stand for my mannequin, and the list goes on.
The smile, never saying a negative thing, when in a boutique I buy another outfit and tell you it's for my retirement fund someday. After I wear it of course lol
To give me space while taking business classes, or constructing my website, and letting it slide that I turned the house into a processing plant consuming just about every room.
Most importantly to never doubt my abilities, telling me that I could make a burlap bag look good, as simple as that is, it added to my confidence. Thank you.
